Making pretty things has always been something that brings joy into my life and peace into my soul.

I have always enjoyed doing creative things, as far back as my memories can reach – I need creativity.  I crave it.  It calls out to me.  Without it I don’t feel quite like myself, I don’t feel balanced.  I feel like something is missing.  I have discovered over the years, that creating things with my hands is like a therapy session for my inner-self, a crazy-prevention pill – bigtime.

*grin*

No seriously, I speak the truth, without art in my life I am lost, just a shell of who I really am, I go through the motions of life but with far less satisfaction and contentment.

My friend Emily has a motto: “Art = Life” and that is how it for me.  I could also say: “Without Art = Life Half Lived”

It’s just the way I was made.

Jewelry is my latest creative craze – and when I say ‘craze’, I really mean it.  Last year it was scrapart (again) and earlier this year it was painting (sooo loving that – again).  Now, jewelry.  With any new artistic phase/craze I have, I tend to go overboard… it’s just part of my personality I guess (as I definitely see a pattern of this with all of my artistic endeavors.)  So, I decided to make an etsy shop full of some of my yummies, just for fun.  After all, how on earth could I wear all of these things!  I only have two ears, two arms and one neck!!  And my daughter had ten bracelets for every outfit after my first week with beads (I have even put them on her ankles when there was no more room left on her arms :)  I only have one sister, and one mother… so who else will give these pretties a loving home?

I hope you will think of me as you are getting gifts for people this year.  You will definitely find something special and unique in my humble etsy shop… I love seeing my etsy shop come together and it makes me feel good that people are buying and ‘hearting’ my precious little pretties!
